Dear MPCS Families,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to 2026-2027 school year. I hope that each of you had a restful summer and are as excited as we are to start another year of learning, growth, and achievement.
As you prepare for the brand-new school year, I want to remind you of some important back-to-school information.
- Online Returning Student Registration for 2026-2027 is now open. Parents of returning students must access the PowerSchool Enrollment online forms through the PowerSchool Parent Portal at https://mpark.powerschool.com/public. The online forms contain demographic and emergency information you entered last year. You must verify the information is accurate or update any information that has changed. Your child’s class schedule and/or teacher assignment will not be released until registration is complete. If you need assistance, join us at City Hall, 100 Park Central Plaza, Manassas Park, on August 6 - 3:00pm-6:00pm or August 10 – 4:00PM-7:00PM to re-register your child for the 2026-2027 School Year and Receive a Free Shirt!
- In order to start the school year your child’s vaccinations need to be up to date. Up to date vaccines are required by the Virginia Department of Health. For specific information on school health requirements, please see our website https://www.mpark.net/departments/school_health If your child is entering a grade that requires updated health forms or immunizations, we want to remind parents and guardians to please turn them in to the school as soon as possible. Please contact your school health clinic for any questions. For those without health insurance, the MAP Clinic, located at 99 Tremont St, Manassas Park, offers vaccinations, physicals, and other health care services. Call (703) 993-5880 for an appointment.
- Class schedules for all registered students will be available in the PowerSchool portal on August 11, 2026. Class schedules will not be visible until online returning student registration is complete in PowerSchool.
- Bus schedules are now available on our website at https://www.mpark.net/departments/transportation/bus_schedules. Please continue to check this site up to the start of the school year in case any changes need to be made.
- MPCS remains “Bell to Bell” cell-phone free for all students PK-12. Parents should look for specific information from their school principal regarding cell phones and wireless devices.
- Grades 1-12 Open House will be August 13, 2026, from 3:00PM-6:00PM. Additional information will be provided by your school principal.
Parents are essential to our success, and we are committed to maintaining open lines of communication with our families and community members. I encourage you to stay informed and engaged by attending school events, participating in our newly formed parent-teacher association, and utilizing our district's communication platforms.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education and development of your children. I wish you a wonderful school year!
